Goody Bag is one book I’ve been longing to write since early 2021. It features a wedding, betrayals, scams and many more! What’s not to love or look forward to about this one?
The Couple
Zena & Lekan. You’ve met Zena in Bottom Belle and Gaga Crazy and will be meeting Lekan in Goody Bag. They are not the ones getting married. Rather, they are the bridesmaid and groomsman pretending to be a thing. Did I just imply that there’s #fakedating in Goody Bag? Yes!!!!
The Wedding Colours
Our bride, Zoya, is quirky. She choose red for the groomsmen. I don’t know if it’s burnt red, orange-red or blood red, hahaha, all I know is that the groomsmen are wearing red on the wedding day. Olive green for the bridesmaid and the jewelry is silver. Ssh… my Pinterest board is full of ideas.
The Location
If you’ve read Bottom Belle, you know it’s #destinationDubai. Yassss! We’re travelling to the beautiful city of Dubai. One thing though, there’ll be no alcohol, so no drunk nights and getting late to the venue. Or… who knows what shenanigans these guys are up to?
The Problem
The main theme for Goody Bag is #YahooYahoo aka romantic scams, money laundering, get-rich-quick scheme, money rituals, etc. . I have been researching, interviewing, reading, and mehn! Get ready to be wowed! There are other themes explored that will sneak up on you, like bullying, both cyber and physical. These are topics that affect individuals, communities and the world.
