    “Family still remains family.”

    Romantic Illusions is the third book in the Flawed Perfection series by International Bestselling Author, Margaret Adetimehin.
    The Flawed Perfection series is an African romantic comedy of Millennials who find love in peculiar ways whilst being spun in a web of friendship and commitment.

    The novel set in Nigeria touches on themes like sexual abuse,self-hate, insecurities, friendship and finding love.

    I liked that the writer uses the protagonists in sharing their own stories. This helps not to miss any details with regards to their mood, emotions and feelings among others. It’s best hearing the story from the horses own mouth with that there is no alteration of the message.

    The characters were a lot and to be honest I lost track with some of them but in the later part I realized the connection between some of them and was enjoying it sooo much that I didn’t want it to end.

    I hope there will be a fourth because I’m curious now.
    I want to know how Debo’s new life turns out;
    If there will be some kind of closure between Mabel and TJ;
    If Tricia will really do anything to get what she wants including getting a job;
    How the friendship between Mabel, Rayo and Tricia turns out.

    Will go read the first two books in the series as well and I’m sure that will make things more clearer.

    Thanks to for giving me the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

    “It’s really surprising how one can blend with the world around them but still stand out. It’s amazing how someone like me can forcefully try to blend with the world around her, but still stand out.”

    “He is like a drug, invading my system.”
