2025 is here, and I’m approaching it with lessons learned – dreaming big and keeping things simple. That said, I’m still holding on to my dream of one day hosting an African Romance Book Festival in Nigeria—a celebration of love stories that truly represent us. For now, I’m focusing on my writing, my readers, and my sanity. Here are my top five author goals for 2025!
- Expand the Lagos Lovin’ World with New Series: Writing Fifi’s story in 2024 was fun while it lasted, this year, I’m excited to be returning to the Lagos Lovin’ world, launching the Yoruba Demon Billionaire Club series and the Catching Feelings series. The characters in the first book of each series are already testing my patience (and maybe my sanity), but I can’t wait to introduce them to you! For instant updates, join the Camaraderie Lounge on Telegram.
- Enhance Marketing and Reader Engagement: This year, I plan to elevate my marketing game by collaborating with more influencers—both big and small. If you’re interested, sign up to join my Street Team and/or my ARC Team. I’ll also be more intentional about cover reveal teams, ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) distribution, and crafting engaging campaigns that bring you closer to my stories. Expect teasers, behind-the-scenes content, and more ways to connect!
- Travel and Share Inspirations: I’ve been very demure with my ajala travel activity in the past. This year, I intend to explore new and old places to find fresh inspiration for my characters and stories, and I can’t wait to share behind-the-scenes moments from these adventures. Stay tuned to my YouTube for this!
- Write 6 Books, Publish 4: I already shared this in a previous letter but just to reiterate, I’m challenging myself to write six books in 2025 but focusing on publishing four. Quality over quantity, always! Those four will be in the YDBC and Catching Feelings universe. Do preoder your copies now to keep me motivated, thank you!
- Maintain Sanity Through Delulu and Positivity: Oh, and most of all, for my peace of mind, I’ll limit my time on the author side of Goodreads, social media (it’s gonna be hard but I’ll try my best) and avoid comment sections. I’ll focus on the good vibes and stay happily delusional while creating stories you love.
A notable mention is that I would love to work with female graphic designers who read romance books. If you’re one, or know someone, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Final Thoughts
Thank you for being a vital part of my 2024 journey. As we step into 2025 together, I’m beyond excited to keep sharing stories that resonate with you.
Your support means everything—from reading my books to spreading the word with friends and family. Don’t forget, reviews are a lifeline for authors like me. They not only help others discover these stories but also motivate me to keep going. So, if you’ve loved any of my books, please drop a review, share your thoughts on social media, or simply recommend them to someone new.
Here’s to another year of amazing reads and unforgettable journeys—thank you for being part of mine!
